CHANTELL AND ZACH
Nothing beats the winter blues like marrying the love of your life, and looking like a bombshell in the process! Chantell did just that when she married Zach this past December. I just happened to be lucky enough to have a small share in such a happy day!
Winter is infamous for dry and rough skin, so one of the biggest focuses of Chantell's getting ready process was flawless skin. Although we didn't have the time to do a full facial prior to makeup application, her foundation still looked perfect. How? I was hoping you would ask...
I started Chantell's foundation with a light moisturizer, followed by a pore refining primer. This combination answers the skins "help me!" pleas by smoothing out rough areas and quenching dryness.
Usually at this point, many people would be grabbing for the concealer, ready to layer it under foundation. I prefer not to do this when doing wedding makeup because I want it to last all day, and not look caked on. Instead, I opt for a foundation that can do the work of the concealer, like MAC Studio Sculpt foundation. Or as I call it, my magic wand. Sculpt has fantastic coverage and is super hydrating, yet does not feel too heavy. It can even be used to cover more difficult blemishes, like scars.
I locked the foundation into place with a setting powder, namely MAC Mineralize powder or NYX Studio Finishing Powder. This step creates a picture perfect airbrushed effect! To top it all off, I finished with highlighter and blush, and a little bronzer.
The finished result for Chantell and her bridesmaids was skin that looked like it has never seen a day of harsh winter air in it's life. Take a look at the gallery of pictures from their wedding, and see the beautiful canvases I got to work with!
